Materials & Tools:
Black Construction Paper Figures
Bristol Paper/Board Ground Sheet (not Drawing/Sketch Paper)
Rubber Cement Glue (don't use White Glue)
"Pic-Up" Square (Cleans off Rubber Cement Glue)
Scissors, Xacto Knife, or Paper Cutter (Optional)
Self-Healing Mat (if using Xacto Knife)


Objective: Cut pieces of black construction paper and glue required figures onto the 8"x 10" white Bristol ground to create a abstract design. The design must be flat with no overlapping, but interlocking, mutual tension, abutting, continuity, and etc, may be used.

Significance: It gives the viewer the vision of a free-spirited person (of chosen gender) or object with the complexness and/or ruggedness of the shapes used. It brings out the sense of happiness as well as a playful side to the abstrct form......it's also quite cute. ^_^

The design must be flat with no overlapping, but interlocking, mutual tension, abutting, continuity, and etc, may be used.

Significance: It gives the viewer the essences of a square, but in the way that the mind completes it for them. The shapes inside the incomplete square shows the complication it has to complete it's as if it were a puzzle of some sort. The figures also give the incomplete square a sense of abstraction to it as well.
