Diagonal Formating


Line Design-Consist of Diagonal Lines
(Non-Objective)

Format:
8" x 9" format was required for this design

Materials & Tools:
Black Construction Paper
Bristol Paper/Board Ground Sheet (not Drawing/Sketch Paper)
Rubber Cement Glue (don't use White Glue)
"Pic-Up" Square (Cleans off Rubber Cement Glue)
Scissors, Xacto Knife, or Paper Cutter (Optional)
Self-Healing Mat (if using Xacto Knife)

Objective: Cut pieces of black construction paper and glue required pieces onto the 8"x 9" white Bristol ground to create non-objective design using diagonal lines. A flat 2-D design using figure-ground relationship.

Significance: Gives the viewer the sense of reflection and comparison to both figures (black) in the ground (white) area. It also gives off the feel of togetherness as both figures looks as though they are coming together in a form of harmony.
